Constellation (DAG) A Blockchain Microservice Operating System

The systemic synchronous conditions that perform the present blockchain technology such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others, are inappropriate for mass adoption in the modern technical architecture of shared consumer applications. Consensus mechanisms and smart contract architecture are not able to scale to the point that is expected for consumer grade applications to operate.

Constellation (DAG) intend a fault resistant, horizontally scalable, distributed operating system that can perform full nodes as a mobile client. Consequently, they offer a reformulation of cryptographically safe consensus into a modern server-less architecture utilizing an asynchronous ExtendedTrustChain, Proof-of-Meme consensus model, smart contracts as composable microservices using the JVM and originally executed as a performer based finite state machine.

What is Constellation?

Constellation Labs strive to compete in the next generation of network, post support blockchain is on the modern times, as the DAG era. Constellation is a fault-resistant, horizontally scalable, distributed operating system that works smart contracts as microservices, all created using JVM for its programming language and DAG architecture.

Constellation offers a reformulation of cryptographically protected consensus into a modern server-less architecture and sets out to determine the scalability and “centralization” of the existing blockchains.

This design technically provides infinite scalability and increased throughput for the network. The reformulation of consensus into server-less architecture intends to solve the scalability problem to enable mainstream applications to adopt blockchain technology. Constellations meme economy can make transactional charges obsolete.

Constellation DAG Fundamentals

Constellation labs is an ERC20 token that is created on the Ethereum blockchain. With testnet scheduled for June 2018 followed by mainnet early 2019, Constellation will then proceed to their chain following a token exchange.

The network is built on the head of DAG (directed acyclic graph) architecture. The team uses a party resemblance to define DAG.

In traditional blockchains, the owner gives the food and drinks for the party. When the guests arrive, the number of sources can only provide so many people, the parts are small, and everything ultimately operates out, and the party stops. Imagine of DAG as a party where everyone brings food and drinks. With every extra guest (node), the more means the party has to keep moving.

The Network’s Blockchain

Constellation’s other approach for scalability is to constitute the networks blockchain as a hierarchy of sub-nets, each operating their own consensus. Each sub-net creates a block hash and sends it to the parent net.

Extended trust chain
There are various node types, each with their function in the network to asynchronously administer different features of the protocol.

Gossip protocol
Provides for large networks to interact total network state at scale. Each member of the network preserves track of its neighbors, and when it accepts new messages, it broadcasts that message to all of its neighbors in turn.

Nodes
There are different node processes that perform consensus on transactions. Stars -> Star clusters -> Galaxies – > Black holes

Proof-of-meme
The agent selection model for Constellation. It is issued and combines a nodes history, behavior and overall reliability within the system to determine the possibility of being chosen for consensus. It is a trust-based system – good actors get rewarded, bad actors loose reputation.

JVM
1`Constellation Labs see to entice big business. The application of JVM, specifically Scala as the programming language for their platform design will enable applications to be built using Java, which is the industry standard in the big data community.
